Healing Through Motherhood
Because Motherhood didn’t create your wounds - it revealed where you still need healing.
A 12-week private coaching experience for mothers ready to understand what they inherited, heal the patterns they’re carrying, and create a healthier family legacy.
Heal yourself. Break the Cycles. Change your family tree.
Maybe motherhood has brought parts of you to the surface you weren’t expecting.
You love your children more than anything.
And you want so badly to give them a childhood that feels safe, connected, and emotionally healthy.
But sometimes your own history comes with you.
Maybe you...
• Get overwhelmed by emotions that feel bigger than the moment.
• Lose your patience and immediately spiral into guilt or shame.
• Feel deeply affected by your child’s emotions and struggle to stay regulated when they’re struggling.
• Put everyone else’s needs before your own until you’re exhausted or resentful.
• People-please, over-function, or feel responsible for keeping everyone around you happy.
• Struggle to set boundaries without feeling guilty.
• Hold yourself to impossible standards as a mother.
• React in ways you promised yourself you never would.
• Find yourself thinking, “I don’t want my children to feel the way I did.”
And maybe you know exactly what kind of mother you want to be...
but sometimes your own childhood gets in the way.
There may be a reason motherhood feels this hard.
Many of the patterns we struggle with in adulthood didn’t begin when we became mothers.
The people-pleasing.
The perfectionism.
The anxiety.
The guilt.
The harsh inner critic.
The difficulty asking for what you need.
The fear of disappointing people.
The need to keep everyone happy.
The emotional reactions that sometimes feel much bigger than the moment.
These patterns often have roots.
They can develop through the families we grew up in, the relationships we experienced, the things we were taught about emotions, and the ways we learned to stay connected, accepted, or safe.
And sometimes we don’t realize how much we’re carrying...
until we become mothers ourselves.
Motherhood has a way of bringing our childhood back into the room.
Not so we can spend our lives blaming the past.
But so we can finally understand what we’re carrying — and decide what we want to carry forward.
What if motherhood could become part of your healing?
Imagine being able to...
✓ Recognize when you’re triggered before it turns into a reaction.
✓ Understand why certain parenting moments affect you so deeply.
✓ Regulate yourself when your child is struggling instead of becoming overwhelmed alongside them.
✓ Lose your patience without spiraling into hours of guilt and shame.
✓ Know how to repair after difficult moments instead of believing you’ve ruined everything.
✓ Set boundaries without feeling responsible for everyone else’s reaction.
✓ Identify and communicate your needs instead of constantly putting yourself last.
✓ Recognize when an old wound — rather than the present moment — is driving your reaction.
✓ Trust yourself more as a woman and a mother.
✓ Create healthier relationships with yourself and the people you love.
And ultimately...
feel confident that you are creating something different for the next generation.
Not a perfect childhood.
But one with more emotional safety.
More communication.
More accountability.
More repair.
More connection.
And fewer of the patterns you had to spend adulthood unlearning.
Introducing Healing Through Motherhood
Healing Through Motherhood is my 12-week private coaching program created for women who want to understand how their past is showing up in their present — and learn how to move forward differently.
This isn't about blaming your parents.
And it isn't about becoming a perfect mother.
It's about understanding yourself more deeply.
Learning the skills you may never have been taught.
Healing the parts of you that are still carrying old wounds.
And becoming intentional about the relationships and family culture you're creating now.
Together, we'll move through three phases:
Understand what you inherited.
Heal what's still affecting you.
Change what gets passed forward.
Program Framework:
I. Phase One: Understand What You Inherited
You can't change a pattern you don't understand.
We begin by getting curious about your story.
Together, we'll explore the family dynamics, roles, beliefs, relationship patterns, and survival strategies you learned growing up.
You may begin to understand where your...
• People-pleasing came from.
• Perfectionism developed.
• Fear of conflict began.
• Difficulty with boundaries comes from.
• Need to manage other people's emotions developed.
• Inner critic learned to be so loud.
• Parenting triggers connect to your own childhood experiences.
Instead of asking:
“What is wrong with me?”
you can begin asking:
“What happened that taught me to respond this way?”
The goal isn't to stay stuck in the past.
It's to understand it well enough that it no longer has to unconsciously run the present.
II. Phase Two: Heal the Mother
Understanding your patterns is powerful.
But insight alone doesn't always change them.
This phase is about learning how to care for yourself differently in the moments when old patterns show up.
We'll work on:
• Understanding your emotional triggers.
• Nervous system awareness.
• Emotional regulation.
• Learning to sit with difficult emotions without immediately reacting to them.
• Identifying and honoring your needs.
• Self-compassion instead of shame.
• Working with the younger parts of you that still feel scared, responsible, rejected, or not enough.
• Repairing after moments you wish you had handled differently.
You begin building something many women were never given:
the ability to feel difficult emotions without being controlled by them.
And perhaps just as importantly...
the ability to make a mistake without turning it into evidence that you're failing.
III. Phase Three: Change Your Family Tree
Healing isn't only about understanding where you've been.
It's also about intentionally deciding where you're going.
This is where we begin putting your healing into practice in your relationships, motherhood, and everyday life.
We'll work on:
• Healthy boundaries.
• Communication.
• Navigating conflict differently.
• Repair after rupture.
• Creating healthier relationship patterns.
• Parenting from your values rather than your fear.
• Identifying what you want your home and family relationships to feel like.
• Choosing which patterns end with you — and which ones you want to intentionally pass forward.
Because breaking cycles isn't only about what you stop doing.
It's also about what you build in its place.
This isn't another parenting course.
You don't need another list of things you're supposed to be doing perfectly.
And I'm not here to give you a script for every difficult moment with your child.
Because sometimes the biggest barrier isn't knowing what to do.
It's what happens inside of you when the moment actually arrives.
Your trigger.
Your nervous system.
Your childhood.
Your fear.
Your guilt.
Your beliefs.
Your unmet needs.
Your automatic reactions.
That's why Healing Through Motherhood focuses on the woman doing the parenting — not just the parenting behavior.
We work on the patterns underneath the reaction.
Because when you understand what's happening inside of you, you have much more freedom to decide what happens next.

Hi, I’m Jessica.
I'm a licensed therapist, mother, and the founder of Securely Her.
For years, my work has centered around helping women understand how childhood experiences, family dynamics, trauma, attachment, and learned survival patterns continue to shape their lives and relationships.
Then I became a mother myself.
And motherhood gave me an entirely new perspective on this work.
I saw even more clearly how becoming a parent can bring us face-to-face with parts of our own childhood.
Sometimes it's beautiful.
Sometimes it's painful.
Sometimes it's both.
I've watched women who spent years coping, achieving, taking care of everyone else, and telling themselves they were "fine" suddenly begin questioning things they had carried for decades.
And I've seen how much shame mothers can carry when old patterns show up in their parenting.
That's why I created Healing Through Motherhood.
I wanted to create a space where women could stop asking:
“Why can't I just get this right?”
and start understanding:
“There is a reason this is hard — and I can learn another way.”
Because healing isn't only about feeling better.
It's about creating a different future for yourself and the people you love.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Is this therapy?
Healing Through Motherhood is a coaching program focused on education, personal growth, skill-building, support, and creating healthier patterns.
It is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Do I need to have experienced major childhood trauma?
No.
You don't have to describe your childhood as traumatic to recognize that there are things you want to do differently.
Some women come from loving families where emotions, boundaries, communication, or repair simply weren't modeled.
Others grew up with emotional neglect, instability, difficult family dynamics, or painful experiences.
What matters isn't whether your childhood fits a particular label.
It's whether something you learned then is still affecting you now.
Does breaking cycles mean blaming my parents?
No.
Understanding where a pattern came from isn't the same as blaming someone for it.
You can love your parents and recognize what they did well while also acknowledging what you needed and didn't receive.
Both can be true.
The purpose of looking backward is not to stay there.
It's to understand your story so you can choose what happens next.
What if I don't know exactly what's causing my struggles?
That's okay.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
Part of our work together is connecting the dots between your current struggles, learned patterns, relationships, and past experiences.
What if I still lose my patience or mess up?
You will.
And so will I.
Because breaking cycles doesn't mean becoming a perfect mother.
One of the most important things we work on is learning what to do after a difficult moment.
You can regulate.
You can take responsibility.
You can repair.
You can reconnect.
And you can try again.
Your children don't need perfection to experience safety and connection.
How often will we meet?
We'll meet for twelve private coaching sessions over approximately 12 weeks.
Is the program personalized?
Yes.
Although we'll use the Healing Through Motherhood framework to guide our work, your sessions are individualized around your history, relationships, challenges, needs, and goals.
THE CYCLE STOPS WITH YOU.
You don't have to become a perfect mother to break generational cycles.
You don't have to heal every wound.
And you don't have to get it right every time.
You can learn to understand your triggers.
Regulate instead of automatically react.
Repair when you get it wrong.
Set boundaries you weren't allowed to have.
Communicate in ways you weren't taught.
Give yourself some of what you've spent years giving everyone else.
And intentionally create the kind of family relationships you want your children to grow up knowing.
You may not have gotten to choose everything that was handed to you.
But you get to choose what you carry forward.
Heal yourself. Break the cycles. Change your family tree.
