It Can Be Different With You

3 Shifts to understand Your Triggers, Break Generational Cycles, and Create the Family You Want.

Motherhood has a way of bringing our deepest wounds to the surface.

Maybe you promised yourself you would do things differently…

And yet you still find yourself…

Snapping more quickly than you want to.

Feeling overwhelmed by your child’s big emotions.

Questioning whether you’re doing motherhood “right.”

Feeling guilty after you react.

Struggling to set boundaries with your own family.

Or wondering why certain moments in motherhood affect you so deeply.

You love your children.

You want to give them something different.

So why can it still feel so hard?

Because we don’t enter motherhood as blank slates.

We bring our own childhoods with us.

The relationships we experienced.

The emotions we were—or weren’t—allowed to have.

The roles we learned to play.

The beliefs we developed about ourselves.

And the survival strategies that once helped us feel safe, loved, or connected.

Motherhood can bring all of it to the surface.

Not because you’re failing.

But because sometimes the moments that trigger us today are touching something much older.

And when we begin to understand that, we can begin to change it.

In This Workshop, You’ll Learn 3 Powerful Shifts

SHIFT ONE:

Understand What You’re Carrying

We’ll explore how your childhood experiences, attachment patterns, family dynamics, and generational patterns can continue to influence your emotions, relationships, and motherhood today.

You’ll begin recognizing:

• Why certain moments trigger you so intensely
• The roles and survival strategies you learned growing up
• How old patterns can quietly follow us into adulthood
• The difference between reacting from an old wound and responding from your present-day values

Because we can’t change patterns we don’t yet recognize.

SHIFT TWO:

Let Go of the Shame That’s Keeping You Stuck

So many cycle-breaking mothers carry beliefs like:

“Good mothers shouldn’t get this triggered.”

“If I love my children enough, I won’t repeat the past.”

“I should be over my childhood by now.”

“What if I become just like my parents?”

“If I mess up, I’m damaging my child.”

But shame rarely helps us become the mothers we want to be.

Understanding does.

Compassion does.

Repair does.

Together, we’ll challenge some of the beliefs keeping you stuck and begin replacing self-criticism with curiosity, compassion, and hope.

SHIFT THREE:

Learn How to Actually Break the Cycle

Awareness is powerful.

But awareness is only the beginning.

Breaking generational cycles also means learning the emotional and relational skills many of us were never taught.

You’ll learn the three phases I use to think about cycle-breaking work:

AWARENESS
Understanding your triggers, attachment patterns, inherited beliefs, and survival strategies.

HEALING
Learning emotional regulation, self-compassion, self-trust, and how to reconnect with the parts of yourself that still need care.

TRANSFORMATION
Practicing healthier communication, boundaries, repair, relationships, and intentional parenting so you can begin creating a different family experience.

Because healing isn’t simply understanding your past.

It’s learning how to live differently because of what you now understand.

This Workshop Is For You If…

✓ You love your children deeply but sometimes feel overwhelmed by how triggering motherhood can be.

✓ You grew up with childhood trauma, emotional neglect, emotionally immature parents, or family dysfunction.

✓ You recognize people-pleasing, perfectionism, hyper-independence, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm in yourself.

✓ You worry about repeating patterns from your childhood.

✓ You want to regulate your emotions and respond more intentionally.

✓ You want your children to experience something different than you did.

✓ You want to understand yourself—not judge yourself.

✓ You’re ready to heal not only for your children, but for you.

You’ll Leave With…

A deeper understanding of your triggers
and why certain moments in motherhood affect you so strongly.

Greater awareness of what you inherited
including family patterns, beliefs, roles, and survival strategies.

More compassion for yourself
so you can move away from shame and toward curiosity.

Practical tools you can begin using
to regulate, respond differently, and repair when things don’t go the way you hoped.

A roadmap for healing
so you understand what breaking generational cycles can actually look like.

And perhaps most importantly:

Hope that your past does not have to determine your family’s future.

You Don’t Have to Become a Perfect Mother to Break the Cycle.

Your children don’t need perfection.

They need a mother willing to become aware.

To get curious about her patterns.

To learn new skills.

To repair when she gets it wrong.

To heal the parts of herself that are still hurting.

And to keep choosing differently.

Every time you heal something within yourself, you create the possibility for something different to be passed forward.

The cycle can stop with you.

And a new family story can begin with you, too.

Meet Your Workshop Teacher

Hi, I’m Jessica.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker • Nearly 15 Years in the Mental Health Field • Private Practice Owner • Wife, Mom + Fellow Cycle Breaker

For nearly 15 years, I’ve worked in the mental health field helping people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that keep them stuck.

In my private practice, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with women navigating childhood wounds, family dysfunction, anxiety, attachment and relationship patterns, boundaries, motherhood, emotional regulation, and generational trauma.

My work is informed by attachment-based therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, IFS and parts work, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches, and my training in perinatal and postpartum mental health.

But this work is also personal to me.

Motherhood has been one of my greatest invitations to continue looking inward—to notice what I want to carry forward, what I want to do differently, and the kind of family experience I want to intentionally create.

That’s part of why I’m so passionate about helping other women do the same.

I believe healing needs both depth + practical tools.

We need space to understand what shaped us.

But we also need to know what to do when we’re triggered on a Tuesday morning and our child is melting down, we’re overwhelmed, and all of our best intentions seem to disappear.

That’s what I want to give you in this workshop: deeper understanding, practical tools, and a clear path forward.

I’d love to have you join me.

With warmth,
Jessica
